POSITION PURPOSE

The Regional Manager of Financial Reporting is in charge of managing a team of financial professionals to complete all accounting, payroll, and finance-related tasks for their Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic region. The Regional Accounting Manager is responsible for supervision of the General Accounting, and Payroll areas of all the entities for the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements, annual audit, financial analysis and work collaboratively with the Regional Director of Budget on the Annual Operating and Capital Budget. The Regional Manager of Financial Reporting supervises accounting staff in the preparation of financial reporting, coordination of the annual financial statement audits and reviews by the internal and external audits and completes tax returns, sales tax exemption filings. Management of seven direct reports including training, mentorship, and professional development. The Regional Manager of Financial Reporting has accountability for ensuring the technical accuracy, relevance, and consistency with both Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and internal financial reporting policies. Under the Regional Director of Financial Reporting, the primary job duties of the Regional Financial Reporting Manager include coordination and resolution of complex financial reporting issues among health system entities (partnerships, joint ventures, foundations, etc.), development and maintenance of standard Board level financial reports within the region. Regional Manager of Financial Reporting serve as a strategic partner for other teams in their organization and ensure all accounting relating issues are addressed in order for the work group to achieve its purpose.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A Masters degree is preferred.

Certification as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or HFMA Certification is preferred.

Minimum seven (7) to ten (10) years of progressively more responsible experience in health care reimbursement. Previous managerial experience is preferred.

Experience in researching and analyzing complex reimbursement issues.
