We have an immediate opening for an Associate Financial Analyst on a 12 months long assignment extension beyond, in Cambridge, MA, USA.
The Associate Financial Analyst will be part of a business partner team responsible for providing business support and financial analysis for Akamai s Marketing & Enablement Organization. Specifically, the Associate Financial Analyst will work to track, analyze, forecast and report on Akamai s Marketing & Enablement OPEX spend. As an Associate Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for:Support the Marketing & Enablement Organization with OPEX spend analysis using Hyperion and ABI ReportsCreate month-end budget vs. actual analyses to be presented to Marketing & Enablement leadersAssist with creating monthly OPEX reporting packages with multiple levels of detail to be distributed across various levels of Marketing & Enablement managementSupport team in the development and management of the annual expense budget and quarterly forecasting updatesAssist in forecasting, financial analysis scenarios, and preparing monthly budget vs. actual reports utilizing Hyperion and ABI Reports for the Marketing & Enablement OrganizationPrepare ad hoc financial analyses and analytical support as required
About the Team
The Associate Financial Analyst will be part of a 3-member team and report to the Marketing & Enablement Senior Financial Analyst. The team is responsible for supporting the Marketing & Enablement Organization with financial analysis as well as forecasting, budgeting and tracking OPEX spend.
Qualifications:Required Skills Minimum of 1 year of experience with financial analysis or equivalent coursework Minimum of 1-year experience with Excel or equivalent coursework Desired Skills Bachelor s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field is required Minimum of 1+ year of experience with financial analysis Minimum of 1-year experience with Excel Ability to interpret data, develop quantitative business assumptions, and provide logical and measured conclusions, forecasts, and recommendations Demonstrated ability to manage tight deadlines and prioritize workloads with a high degree of accuracy in a fast-paced environment Self-starter with understanding and creativity of business modeling, ability to question, learn, and discern the underlying economics of new ideas and opportunities Hyperion Planning experience desired Tableau reporting experience desired Knowledge of SQL Strong verbal and written communication skills Bachelor s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field is required
