Description
The Position:
The Director, Logistics & Global Trade Compliance will support various clinical and commercial programs and is responsible for ensuring uninterrupted drug supply across Sarepta's global drug supply network. He/she will work closely with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Clinical Ops, Commercial, Finance/Tax, and Contract Manufacturers to satisfy end-to-end supply requirements.
Primary Responsibilities include:
* Scheduling timely logistics and transport of drug products, APIs, intermediates, and critical raw materials.
* Develops a network of global transport providers, as well as in-country expertise with customs brokers and logistics partners.
* Works closely with manufacturing sites and storage facilities to execute against detailed logistics and temperature management specifications
* Establishing best practices regarding Import and Export of drug products and intermediates
* Working closely with Tax/Finance departments to accurately account for import duties, trade tariffs, VAT, and insurance limits
* Partnering with Supply Operations to develop cold-chain solutions for refrigerated (5 C), frozen (-20 C), -80 C and cryogenic shipments
* Working closely with clinical and commercial distribution centers to ensure an accurate accountability of drug supply
* Develops standardized approaches to servicing Global Trading Partners
* Developing rigorous strategies to reduce COGS and supply risk
Education and Skills Requirements:
This role requires excellent understanding of global drug supply chain logistics as well as financial, strategic and analytical skills. Experience required with global multiple manufacturing sites, contract manufacturers, and Import/Export.
* 10+ years of relevant experience with 3+ years in a leadership role
* BA/BS required, MS/MBA Preferred
* Understanding of Cold-Chain, Import/Export, HTS Codes, and Common Customs Tariff
* Oracle or SAP experience desired
* Requires domestic and international travel
Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S.
