This position reports to the CEO of Water & Waste Systems with dotted line responsibility to Safran._. *Summary**. The VP of Finance/CFO is responsible for Accounting, Finance, Cost Accounting, IT and ERP Systems and has 5 direct reports, with a total team of about 20 employees. The Head of Finance is an integral member of the executive management team and the strategic Steering Committee. He/she represents the company in audits, legal matters, customer interfaces and corporate events.. Periodic travel is required to the different operating locations, as well as occasional international travel to the corporate offices.. *Essential Duties and Responsibilities**. + Provides overall direction to the Accounting, Finance, and IT functions, ensuring all activities are of the highest quality and completed on time.. + Partners with executive team to provide guidance to insure our business meets its financial commitments. + Supervises the monthly/quarterly/annual closing processes and ensures that related reporting is clear and well documented and explained.. + Manages the annual audit process.. + Provides financial leadership in strategic planning and related endeavors.. + Communicates meaningful metrics and internal financial data, including monthly presentations to the President and members of the executive staff to enable the team to make sound strategic decisions; actively participates as a member of the monthly SIOP process to drive inventory and cost optimization.. + Leads the company's annual budgeting process including directing formats, schedules and content, coordinating input from departments, and creating a comprehensive consolidated submittal to the corporate office.. + Manages and controls the company's assets, including capital authorizations and significant development projects, including periodic reporting to stakeholders.. + Ensures department activities support clear and profitable business goals.. + Directs meaningful analysis offering constructive opportunities for business/financial improvements.. + Coordinates and drives cost improvement initiatives along with various departments and functional areas.. + Drives ERP / MRP improvements and system related process improvements.. + Supports due diligence/acquisitions, when required.. + Performs additional duties as required. **Essential Requirements** : _To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Aerospace industry background preferred. + Prior experience in cost accounting is strongly recommended.
