We are currently seeking bright, hard-working, and motivated individuals to join the PHD family.

You are the Financial Controller and senior financial presence leading all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, as well as development of internal control policies and procedures for a rapidly growing tristate specialized medical company with a unique advantage in the marketplace and for patients.

As a polished, hands-on leader you will be responsible for managing a staff of 3 and working very closely with the CEO on a wide range of projects.

You will bring demonstrated Healthcare Industry experience, a proven track record of providing structure/process improvement suggestions, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Core Responsibilities

  • Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Payroll and Revenue Cycle.
  • Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances
  • Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements
  • Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting
  • Research technical accounting issues for compliance
  • Support month-end and year-end close process
  • Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
  • Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
  • Ad-hoc controller duties as necessary


  • Proven working experience in the Healthcare Industry
  • 6+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience
  • Experience with QuickBooks
  • Revenue Cycle Management experience preferred
  • Advanced degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
  • CPA or CMA preferred
  • Experience with Dentrix preferred
  • Highly Analytical
  • Organized and can present findings
