Summary:The technical analyst will provide technical expertise to ensure that all parts of the life insurance policy illustration systems are available and useful to the agent field force and internal users. They will need to work with external vendors as well as internal stakeholders to maintain the illustration software, roll out new products and product changes, run special cases, and document processes and systems. The position will require the individual to manage projects, test results, troubleshoot problems, provide training, maintain documentation and manage the vendors.Job duties to include the following:Interact with and manage illustration software vendors on deliverables? Work with vendor to update software for new products or changes to existing products? Manage the version control of the process to ensure proper testing and production functions? Conduct testing on updated systems? Ensure that software is delivered from vendor to agent field force and internal all users? Coordinate all aspects of implementationSupport use of illustration software? Provide support to software users when having problems? Troubleshoot installation problems? Ensure system integrity and assist installation of technology upgrades? Recommend improved operational procedures to maximize efficiencies? Provide training to both the field force and internal users? Keep manuals, instructions and trouble-shooting documents up-to-date and provide to users? Maintain and deliver existing versionsSpecial Requests? Provide special system versions for internal users and/or specific users? Provide support for special illustration requests? Provide illustrations as requested? Document / Track specially provided illustrationsDocumentation & Planning? Document processes and procedures surrounding illustration work, software releases, distribution, and other initiatives? Track and maintain versions / releases of systems? Document specific changes and testing for each release? Track ongoing future enhancements / changes lists? Participate in and recommend future system changes or enhancementsTechnical & Misc. Support? Review vendor invoices and ensure proper payment ? Provide and review budget and actual expenses for systems work? Participate in vendor reviews, update meetings, and monitor / report on vendor changes? Particpate in and recommend potential new vendor opportunities, consolidation, or enhancement to systems ? Provide additional technical, software, and/or IT support within department? Assist department in various tasks as assignedJob requirements to include the following:? Bachelor's degree preferred? 2-5 years working at a technical position in a financial institution is required? 5 plus years working with individual life illustration software is preferred? Working knowledge of individual life insurance products is preferred? Advanced Communication skills - both written and speaking? Detail Oriented - ensures all associated processes and tasks are completed? Self-Motivated - works independently and takes initiative to solve problems? Organized - plans and prioritizes tasks to ensure work is completed effectively? Proficient Computer Skills - maintains current knowledge of applicable computer software and operating systems? Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
