Head of Insurance/NBFI Jobs in New York, NY. Head of Insurance/Non-Banking Financial Institutions. Department:. Client Relationship Management. Reports To: (Position). CEO of Commerzbank NY/North America. Position Summary:. Manager responsible for a portfolio of clients in the insurance and broader non-bank financial institutions (NBFI) sector and a team of Client Relationship Managers (CRMs) and Associates. Primary objective of the role is to optimize the profitability of her/his portfolio over the lifetime of the relationship, collaboration with relevant product units (especially capital markets products) and to grow the business. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:. Global coverage of existing Insurance/NBFI clients, including:. understanding the clients and their global needs and maintain a continuous strategic dialogue with the CFO and/or treasurer. market the bank's capabilities, both in North America as well as in the rest of the world, particularly in Germany, and present ideas to the clients that meet their needs. orchestrate the global co-CRMs for the respective client and the product units in order to deliver the right solutions to the client and thereby generate cross-sell. track the client profitability and initiate marketing efforts if the profitability is not sufficient. work with credit risk management to allow them to work efficiently. Identify and originate new Insurance clients that fit the bank's target client profile and allow the bank to earn adequate returns, both in the U.S. and globally; initiate the respective process to get approval for new clients (e.g., ISC process, credit process, client on-boarding process, etc.). While the Head of Insurance/NBFI North America should be responsible individually for a sub-portfolio of clients (with the support of an Associate), she/he allows the CRMs of the team to cover their clients independently and develops the CRMs and Associates into more senior roles. Internally, however, the Head of Insurance/NBFI North America remains responsible for the risk and returns for his entire portfolio. Finally, the "Head of Insurance/NBFI North America" shall represent the CRM function. within the bank: regularly visit the bank in Frankfurt and other locations to promote the New York Branch to the German CRMs and thereby foster the collaboration in the interest of the client and the bank. within the U.S.: represent and promote the bank at conferences and in other forums. Other miscellaneous responsibilities as required. Experience /Qualifications/Education:. Extensive (at least 10-15 years) Insurance/NBFI relationship management work experience concentrated on servicing insurance clients in the U.S., preferably with an international bank; extensive existing contacts in the industry. Experience (at least 5 years). Deep expertise in capital markets products and insurance/specific solutions. Demonstrable track record of strong revenue generation. Excellent communication, presentation and marketing skills. Disclaimer.
