Job Location: ??Northeast.? ?This is a regional Large Loss Field Adjuster position, which requires the applicant to work outside of an office, independently and in person with the customer, handling first party homeowner claims in excess of $100,000. ?The position requires overnight travel.? The position includes a company vehicle.?Role Value Proposition:??In addition to providing exceptional customer service,?the successful candidate will interview insureds, claimants and other parties to determine the facts of the loss; prepare repair estimates utilizing Xactimate estimating software; assist the customer in preparing their personal property claim; work with contractors and vendors to establish repair / replacement values; document the claims file to comply with company guidelines and state regulations; and oversee claims to conclusion.? ?The candidate must manage their pending to comply with the company quality and production criteria, and perform other related duties as assigned or required.?Key Responsibilities:??* Customer Centric ? This can include overnight travel throughout the United States on a last-minute basis to assist our customers as needed.?? ??Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:?Required Skills:?* Minimum 5+ yrs. related property claims experience* General knowledge of insurance theory and practices* Strong communication skills (verbal, nonverbal and written)* Strong homeowner policy knowledge* Strong knowledge and understanding of how to appropriately document a claim file.* Ability to establish dwelling repair estimates in excess of $100,000 utilizing Xactimate* Ability to evaluate and successfully negotiate property claims* Must be able to make physical inspections of property loss sites* Must be able to work out-of- doors in all types of weather and extended and/or non-standard hours as required* Valid driver's license with a safe driving record?Preferred Skills:?* Bachelor's degree ??????At MetLife, we?re leading the global transformation of an industry we?ve long defined.
