BUSINESS ANALYST IV , Resource Development-Office of Strategic Information Management, to lead the implementation of strategic projects. Will use a team-based approach methodology with other IT colleagues; ensure the finished product provides a simple, intuitive, and effective user experience that achieves business aims; and draw upon leadership s key insights to offer responsive solutions to address business challenges. Responsibilities include developing long-term project plans with strategic milestones; negotiating timelines for delivering outcomes; driving vendors to deliver within established milestones/budgets; performing ongoing analysis to determine requirements for the design, development, and implementation of information systems for RD and MIT advancement community; playing a key role in conducting business and data analysis for these systems and implementing new business policies/procedures; performing application testing and developing training curriculum/documentation; and providing high-level support.
The position is ideal for a versatile, problem-solving business analyst who thrives when developing user-centered designed solutions and enjoys eliciting stakeholder needs and providing technical solutions.
REQUIRED: bachelor's degree; seven years business analysis experience; evidence of successful project management in implementing business applications/business processes/enterprise systems/ databases/CRMs; strong oral and written communication skills; experience gathering business/functional requirements; discretion with confidential information; ability to manage multiple projects/priorities, meet deadlines, reach out/collaborate across MIT, and present information clearly and cohesively to a variety of users; self-motivation; and willingness to work on and collaborate with a team. Experience using and integrating business systems including enterprise database, reporting, web, mobile, and desktop applications preferred; as is experience with advancement services in higher education/nonprofit environments. Experience with Ellucian's Advance and developing technical documentation; knowledge of advanced database concepts, preferably in an Oracle environment; and knowledge of Crystal Reports or other reporting software desirable.
