Job Description:

Wholesale Lending Services (WLS) is part of the JPMorgan Chase Commercial Bank providing lending servicing support to multiple business units across the firm and around the world. The group supports loan documentation, loan booking and funding, payment and fee processing, loan trading, collateral perfection and management, customer service and reporting and construction management for JPMorgan's traditional credit products (TCP).

Role Summary

The Credit Support Specialist works closely with the Credit Risk and Deal Closing teams along to build and record loan facilities in JPM's credit risk infrastructure. The team is also responsible for researching and clearing related credit exceptions. Information in the credit risk infrastructure is used in various platforms to support JPMorgan's internal and external reporting obligations.

Responsibilities

* Read and interpret legal and internal credit documentation
* Accurately enter extracted data from credit documents into the credit infrastructure systems
* Effectively communicate with business partners
* Manage the workflow of tasks / activities, queries, issues and requests made to the team, including identification, prioritization, and escalation where appropriate
* Produce and monitor various exception reports adding commentary and resolving discrepancies as needed
* Contribute toward team goal of meeting Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
* Research and resolve inquiries in a timely fashion
* Actively participate in process improvement and other Organizational initiatives
* Various other tasks

Minimum Requirements

* Undergraduate degree is strongly preferred but related job and industry experience can be accepted as a substitute. (2+ years)
* Basic knowledge of investment banking products preferable, but not required
* Must be highly organized with the ability to manage a variety of tasks
* Loan operations experience preferred
* Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills
* Excellent oral and written communications skills and strong interpersonal/client servicing skills
* Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (i.e. Excel, Word and Outlook)
* Team player with ability to work with colleagues in a collaborative manner
* Effective time management skills
* Ability to work in a fast paced and controls oriented environment
