Highbridge Capital Management is seeking an Associate (or Vice President) volatility arbitrage trader for our investment team. The investment team is responsible for managing all of Highbridges investment strategies. As a member of the trading team, this person will focus on the execution and portfolio management of volatility arbitrage related investments as well as represent Highbridge to its key counterparty relationships. Responsibilities This Associate (or Vice President) will play a vital role in the management of the firms efforts to invest in the convertible arbitrage, mandatory convertible, warrant and equity derivative markets. Reporting directly to the firms co-CIOs, he/she will oversee the day-to-day management of the firms investments in these markets including the firms participation in the new issue calendar, the monitoring of the secondary market for new investments opportunities, and delta and interest rate re-hedging of existing investments. Specific responsibilities will include, but not be limited to the following: Execution of convertible debt, equity, equity option, warrant, interest rate, straight debt, and CDS trades on a daily basis for the investment team Support senior members of the team in developing new strategies to invest across volatility-related markets based on the teams fundamental and technical view of securities Create, maintain and enhance the teams proprietary databases and quantitative tools that allow the team to track various relationships in the market Serve as a point of contact for certain key trading counterparties and represent the firm in its dealings with brokerage community Prepare written communications on a daily and weekly basis to keep the broader investment team informed as to the state of the volatility markets including regular portfolio reviews and weekly trading commentary Generate positive, asymmetric and uncorrelated returns for Highbridges limited partners Candidate Profile Demonstrated record of academic and professional achievement Between 1 and 4 years of total work experience, ideally in equity derivative or convertible debt markets Strong quantitative and analytic skills, including an in-depth knowledge of equity option, convertible debt, mandatory convertible, and CDS pricing Not ready to apply?
