Description Senior Manager, Corporate Finance Functional area: Finance Position Description: The Senior Manager, Corporate Finance will be an integral member of Ironwood's financial planning and analysis team, supporting the company's corporate consolidations and G&A organization (IT, Legal, HR, Finance, Facilities, Communications, Corporate Development and Corporate Management). The successful candidate will be responsible for providing leadership with visibility into revenue, cost and cash flow performance and will partner with G&A business leaders to assess functional needs, improve financial performance and support strategic decision making. In addition, this role will represent finance on ad hoc cross functional projects, lead continuous improvement initiatives, and provide valuationsupport as needed. Responsibilities: Support the consolidation of the annual operating plan, quarterly forecasts and monthly updates, including the creation of presentation materials for senior management and board of directors Design, develop, and implement financial tools and metrics to support the G&A financial performance review process including design, generation & distribution of monthly performance reports, hands-on management of consolidated G&A review materials, and facilitation of G&A leadership review meetings Lead all aspects of the annual operating plan and mid-year forecast for G&A, and provide direction in decision making that helps effectively allocate resources in support of the company's strategic goals Manage monthly process for analyzing new contracts and assist functional business partners in the consolidation and review of monthly expense accruals Lead/support continuous improvement initiatives and sharing of best practices across finance and the broader organization Perform valuation and ad hoc analysis on various business aspects as required Basic qualifications: Bachelors or equivalent degree with concentration in a financial discipline 8+ years of progressive financial reporting, planning and analysis experience Strong facilitation, communication and presentation skills; must have a sincere willingness and demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and partner successfully with non-Finance personnel while remaining a strong representative of/for the Finance team Experience working in a matrix environment - including successful interaction with leadership of multiple functions and programs. Ability to influence at all organizational levels within cultural expectations Strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint Experience with BPC or other financial consolidations system Strong understanding of systems, analytical tools, financial modeling, and data management Strong understanding of GAAP and financial statement reporting preferred Preferred qualifications: CPA or MBA Prior experiencesupporting G&A organizations/teams Prior experience in pharmaceutical industry and/or solid understanding of drug discovery/development process Ironwood Pharmaceuticals is an equal opportunity employer welcoming diversity in our workforce.
