  • Review purchase requisitions to ensure that they meet the organizations compliance requirements which include proper documentation, currency and payment terms
  • Evaluate supplier contracts to ensure compliance with legal requirements while internally promoting the established organizational policies and procedures for vendor engagement
  • Provide procurement support, oversight and guidance for critical material or services requiring expediting, prioritization or review
  • Confirm that modifications and changes to existing orders are properly documented and processed
  • Develop and promote strong working relationships with all internal stakeholders and external suppliers
  • Support all efforts to maintain an approved supplier data base focused on price, quality and assurance of supply while avoiding disruptions in the vendor supply chain
  • Promote awareness and facilitate support, training and implementation for the use of existing and the development of next generation procurement tools with internal stakeholders and vendors
  • Assist with obtaining and analyzing proposals or quotations for consumables, equipment and services for stakeholders
  • Partner with internal customers when needed to expedite purchase requisitions or identify solutions for supply chain disruptions which may include the sourcing of alternative providers
  • Properly escalate any known supply chain disruptions, order discrepancies or contract matters for internal review and remediation
  • Produce and provide internal reports and metrics regularly to evaluate departmental and category spend by supplier
  • Qualifications:

  • BA or BS degree, or equivalent related experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in procurement/sourcing
  • Possess strong customer service, communication, problem solving and interpersonal skills
  • Flexible, adaptable to change and the ability to work independently while being detail oriented
  • Proven track record of managing supplier relationships, providing a superior level of service and the ability to resolve customer issues expeditiously while managing multiple projects
  • Collaborative having the ability to build, motivate and actively support and engage with stakeholder teams with a continuous improvement approach
  • eProcurement experience with vendor punchout sites
  • Knowledge of supply chain operations, vendor development, contract negotiations
  • Participation in vendor business reviews involving discussions regarding performance and activity
