Position Title:Small Business Banking Credit Officer
Reports to:Regional Credit Officer
This position is primarily responsible for the oversight and direction of the Small Business Banking Lending Group including origination, development and maintenance of profitable business relationships, developing, implementing, interpreting and maintaining lending policies and procedures and ensuring all lending programs comply with federal and state regulations as well as Bank policy.
Provides loan underwriting and structuring guidance and support for the Small Business Banking Lending Group's Commercial Underwriters, Processors and Loan Originators
Reviews underwriting requests for compliance with Bank policy and regulatory requirements.
Provides credit approval for requests within defined lending authority that meet the Bank's underwriting standards and lending objectives.
Supports the Bank's established lending goals while maintaining desired asset quality levels.
Assists with the mentoring, guidance and support of the B2B loan processors and loan underwriters as needed with difficult credit underwriting issues. Assists lending staff in identifying appropriate risk ratings.
Monitors loan exception items for assigned regions and work with lending team to resolve. Monitors Small Business Banking credit quality issues such as delinquency, etc.
Assists with review, analysis and integration of acquisition opportunities.
Performs other related duties and projects as assigned.
