The VP of Finance serves as a strategic business partner to several business leaders including the VP of Operations in Cambridge, the Senior Vice President of Online Teacher Services located in Shanghai, China and the 10 School Directors throughout North America.The VP of Finance acts as the most senior financial representative for EFs Language division in the U.S., and frequently liaises with North American General Counsel, U.S. Shared Services (Payroll, HR, etc.), as well as European counterparts.The main responsibilities include (but are not limited to):Management of a team of professionalsLead the ILS Financial Accounting Department including financial closing processes and preparation of audited financial statementsCoordinate external and internal auditsMaintain proper corporate governance of companys legal entitiesEngage in effective tax planning and preparation of companys tax filingsFinancial planning & analysis supporting EF Group Financial Reporting & ForecastingAct as a business partner to EF ILS business leaders providing forecasting and budgetary assistance, return on investment analysis for strategic initiatives, cash management solutions, compliance and risk management supports as well as other special projects and training as required on an ad-hoc basisThe successful candidate profile:Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related degreeCPA or other professional certification, MBA is a plus10+ years of finance and business experienceStrong staff management and leadership skillsExperience in product line or business financial management and controlExperience in financial accounting or auditingExceptional analytical, problem solving & communication skillsPassion for travel, education and growthInternational travel experience & knowledge of a second language is a plus.Benefits & perksMarket-leading health insurance options3 weeks paid vacation (1st year), followed by 4 weeks (2nd year)25% company match for your 401(k) contributionsCompany match of your charitable contributions (up to $500 per year)Complimentary in-house language classesBeautiful office space with the park and river outside (& outdoor patio space)Restaurant and bar onsiteAnd of course, the opportunity to work with an incredibly talented and dynamic team
