Apply NowLocations: New York, New YorkJob Function: Institutional SalesEmployee Status: RegularJob ID: 19132955 The successful candidate will lead the existing North American Corporate Trade Sales team which is based in New York, Chicago, Miami and Toronto. The candidate will be responsible for identifying gaps in the NA sales model and will be responsible for executing against a strategy to close those gaps. Additionally the successful candidate will be the senior Trade sales person on a portfolio of key regional customers and prospects and will be expected to grow the trade wallet and revenue in that portfolio. The successful candidate will be expected to account for all Corporate Trade sales activity across North America both through robust use of appropriate metrics as well through first hand calling efforts and leading by example in a greater level of direct client engagement. The successful candidate will be expected to lead from the front in terms of helping the NA trade sales team close mandates and ramp the associated revenue as well as act as the lead client advocate for the Trade business in NA with Risk and the Trade product teams and the other Trade regional teams. Developmental Value: The successful candidate can expect to gain exposure to the following aspects of Trade business: This is a senior position within both the NA and Global management of the Trade group Greater visibility and recognition from seniors within the Corporate Bank in both NA and at a global level Understanding and first-hand experience of managing a diverse team across multiple industries Onward positions from this role could include, Global Trade Sales Head, Regional P&L management or Global P&L management within the Trade organization Measurements: The successful candidate will be measured on a balanced scorecard basis against the following numerical criteria: 1. Validated and Confirmed wins against North America based Corporates at the parent and subsidiary level 2. Following a pipeline clean up, growth in the North American trade pipeline across the parent and subsidiary categories 3. Level of calling activity across a diverse corporate client base in the North American region as evidenced by call reports from the sales team 4. Revenue growth in the successful candidates own client portfolio 5. North America Trade Revenue growth for the region and revenue contribution to other regions The non-numerical criteria will center on: People and talent development for existing and soon to be recruited sales people in North America, including a strategy to build the bench strength of the team over time Proactively building and utilizing the prevailing Analyst programs to develop the next level of sales talent Drive greater connectivity and engagement from coverage partners to more effectively obtain value for money from Trade allocations Be an effective first line of defense through acquisition and positioning of trade deals by the North American sales team Build and develop the reputation of Citi Trade externally through thought leadership, client events both internal and external, and media recognition. Qualifications Minimum 10 years of relevant experience. The successful candidate must have and be able to command a high degree of credibility with the corporate banking coverage teams, Risk and the TTS solution sales teams.
